SeaTac/Airport
When the SeaTac/Airport light rail station opened on December 19th, 2009 it finally connected the airport via the existing Central Link Light Rail system that had opened July 18th, 2009 and Downtown Seattle. The station, surrounded by Pay to Park parking lots and hotels, is connected to the airport via a quarter of a mile walk through the airport parking garage and is a clean and economical alternative to a cab ride that can cost as much as 50 dollars to get to the downtown area. From the East end of the station on a clear day you get a beautiful view of Mt. Rainer as you board one of the electric light rail trains that will get you to downtown Seattle in under 40 minutes. The trains are clean and bright with a very good on time rate. If you are going from the airport to downtown this is the by far the best way to travel.
